The testing site is an effort involving several partners, including the Office of Public Health, Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexanddria Emergency Hospital, the Louisiana National Guard and the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The testing center is set up in the parking area near the Coliseum Exhibition Hall.

It is tentatively scheduled to be open Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 1-3 p.m. But those days and times could change, “depending on the need and community response,” Holcombe said.

Though there is no out of pocket expense, people coming in for screening must have an ID and insurance card.
